Archival Grade Film Products
Grafix Archival Grade Films are
guaranteed to be non-yellowing in ambient temperatures, dimensionally
stable and resistant to most chemicals, moisture and abrasion. The
following Grafix Plastics Film must meet these requirements.
Mylar D & Mellinex 516 (Meets USG Spec: L-P-00670B and L-P-375)
Mylar D® and Melinex ® are high clarity archival polyester
film which are inert, chemically stable materials with a variety
of long archival storage applications. These applications include
document encapsulation, textile storage, photo & negative sleeves
and other long term storage applications.
Note: Mylar D® is no longer manufactured and
has been substituted with Melinex 516®

Dura-Lar
Dura-Lar is a high clarity polyester film, just like Mylar D, however
it is more of a general purpose product, but has many of the same
properties. Great use as archival overlays, book jackets, and other
protective uses.
Cellulose Acetate
Grafix Acetate is a high clarity cellulose Acetate material. It
is chemically inert and a long time standard for archival applications.
